Musical November in Sicily: Pop, Jazz, and Celebrations

November 2024 in Sicily offers a variety of musical events across different genres and styles, including concerts, theatrical performances, and tributes featuring national and international artists, from Palermo to Agrigento.



Major Concerts and Tributes in Palermo

In Palermo, the Orchestra Sinfonica Siciliana will open the month with Mahler’s “Symphony No. 3” at the Politeama on November 8 and 9. The city will also host the Gruppo Popolare Opra at the Rai Auditorium on November 9, celebrating the roots of Sicilian music. The Teatro Golden will stage several events, including a 30th-anniversary concert of Irene Grandi (November 24) and a tribute to Lucio Battisti with Gianmarco Carroccia and Mogol (November 28).


Social and Cultural Events

On November 25, for the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women, the Women Orchestra will perform at Teatro Golden to raise awareness about this important issue. Additionally, a Sufi music and dance performance led by Tito Rinesi and the Dargah Ensemble will take place at the Oratorio Santa Cita on November 10.


Tributes and Musicals

Classical music lovers can enjoy “Flashdance The Musical” at the Cineteatro Golden on November 15 and 16, while the ModCafé will host a tribute to Oasis on November 16 with The Morning Glory. The month will conclude with a concert by PFM in tribute to Fabrizio De André at the Teatro Golden on November 29.


Other Events and Concerts in Sicily

In November, the city of Bagheria will host Baharia Piano City, a series of piano recitals at Villa Butera until November 23, while a Christmas concert by Salvatore Petrotto is scheduled at the Church of San Domenico on November 20.


Fiorella Mannoia and Claudio Baglioni

Among the big names this November in Sicily, Fiorella Mannoia will perform in both Palermo and Agrigento. Additionally, although it starts in December, the “Piano di Volo soloTris” tour by Claudio Baglioni will make stops in Agrigento, Palermo, Messina, and Catania, bringing his show to four unique nights at the island’s main theaters.
